Steve L · Verified customer"As a first-time customer, I’m very impressed with the quality and service from William Alexander. The logs are the best I’ve had (after being disappointed - and frustrated - with logs from three local companies). The delivery service was excellent. My property has tricky access and Sam really went out of his way to help get the logs to where I wanted them. He was helpful, conscientious, polite and friendly. William Alexander’s logs may be a bit more expensive than other suppliers, but it really is a case of ‘you get what you pay for’. I’ll definitely be a returning customer."

So pleased - thank you."

Every species we deliver is kiln-dried below 20% moisture. What changes is how they burn, so here is what each one does best.
Lights quickly and burns with bright, lively flames, so you get warmth without the wait.
A dense hardwood that burns slow and hot, giving a steady fire with fewer trips to refill.
A blend of premium hardwoods that lights easily and burns steadily right through the evening.
One of the hottest, longest burning hardwoods we stock, for real performance from every log.
Pick your wood and pallet size, pay securely by card. The pallet delivery fee shows at checkout.
Your Easy Bags are packed and wrapped on a pallet at the yard, and collection is booked with The Pallet Network (weekdays, 9am to 4:45pm).
A tail-lift vehicle brings the pallet to your kerb, typically within 4 to 7 working days. Where the ground allows, the driver moves it on a pump truck.
One-person Easy Bags, dry out of the bag. Carry them in at your own pace.
Dear Valued Customer,
To ensure nationwide coverage, we use a trusted third-party pallet distribution network. A dedicated team will handle the delivery of pallets/logs using vehicles equipped with tail-lifts. With utmost care, they will unload the goods and, whenever feasible, position them on your property using a manually operated pump truck. We kindly request that you bear in mind that the pump truck cannot navigate soft or loose surfaces, such as gravel or grass. Additionally, please take into consideration any steep gradients that may pose safety concerns during the unloading process. A smooth and flat surface is essential for the proper placement of the crate, pallet of nets or pallet of Barrow Bags.
It is important to note that our delivery vehicles do not feature cranes and, therefore, we regretfully cannot lift goods over fences, walls, or hedges.
If you have any specific delivery challenges or have special requirements, our bespoke service is here to assist you. We ask that you contact us directly to discuss any concerns you may have. Please be aware that undisclosed delivery issues may incur an additional re-delivery charge.
For customers who require a more precise delivery date, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs. Simply reach out to us, and our team will make the necessary arrangements or address any urgent requirements.

Our standard delivery timeframe typically ranges from 4 to 7 working days. However, please note that exceptions may occur during peak periods. To ensure your utmost satisfaction, we strongly recommend placing your order well in advance of the Christmas rush to avoid any potential disappointment.
When you reach the checkout, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred delivery options, including the desired delivery date. Timed delivery is also available, with additional charges applicable for this service.
Please bear in mind that in the event of confirmed delivery arrangements and no one being available to receive the goods, a re-delivery fee will be charged.
To provide added convenience, we offer a Delivery Drop WITHOUT signature service upon request during the checkout process.
Thank you for choosing our delivery service. We look forward to serving you and ensuring a smooth and satisfactory delivery experience.
Warm regards,
Alex

William Alexander Logs
Your kind words mean a great deal to our team, especially during the coldest and busiest months. Thank you for your continued support.
A small family firewood business in Winchfield, doing the simple things properly since 2016.
Wet logs are the single biggest cause of tar, blackened glass and chimney fires. It is not the stove, it is the wood.
Dry wood is kinder to your chimney, your stove and your lungs.
I grew up around here, and I kept seeing the same thing: good people paying for firewood that turned up wet, got dumped on the drive, and never burned the way it should.
So I started William Alexander Logs to do it the way I would want it done. Every log kiln-dried properly and tested below 20% moisture. Delivered on a day that suits you, in bags we wheel to wherever you keep your wood. Cut to a size that actually fits your stove.
It is a family business, run from the yard in Winchfield, and we treat every order like it is going to our own door. If something is not right, you get me or one of the team on the phone, not a call centre.
