Beds fed in autumn romp away in spring.

Spread it now and the worms and the weather do the digging for you all winter. Come spring, everything you plant gets a head start.

Compost questions.

Why a minimum of three bags? +
Each bag is roughly 110kg, so a drop is worth doing from three bags up. The price per bag falls as you add more, down to £25.90 a bag at ten.
Is it peat free? +
Yes. It is made entirely from recycled green waste and produced to PAS100, the UK quality standard for compost made from biodegradable material.
Do you really move it to the beds? +
Yes. The free moving service is included. Tell us where you want it at checkout and we will place the bags there.
How much do I need? +
As a rough guide, one bag covers three to four square metres with a good five centimetre layer. Three bags sorts a typical run of beds, and if you are between sizes, go up: it stores happily in the bag until you need it.
When should I spread it? +
Autumn and early spring are the sweet spots. Beds fed in autumn have all winter to work the goodness in, and a spring dressing gives everything you plant a strong start. Just avoid spreading onto frozen ground.

Your beds, fed and finished.

From £25.90 a bag at ten bags, carried to the beds and left tidy.
